The Original Tennessee Whiskey is history in a glass. After two brothers from Nashville, Tennessee discovered their triple great grandfather was one of the most successful whiskey distillers in pre-prohibition America, they vowed to revive the defunct family business. Based on the exact family recipe first dreamed up by Charles Nelson in the late 1800s, this wheated Tennessee Whiskey is mellowed through a bed of sugar maple charcoal and bottled at 91 proof… an ode to Charles Nelson who died in 1891.  Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey offers notes of brown sugar and vanilla and is best enjoyed any way you like it: neat, on the rocks or poured into your favorite cocktail.

It’s a hit! The year we released Nelson Brothers Reserve, we landed number 10 on Whisky Advocate’s list of most exciting whiskies of 2022. This expression really delivers at 107.8 proof without sacrificing palate-pleasing smoothness. Aged an average of 6-7 years, expect notes of cherry, allspice, cinnamon roll, hazelnut and baked apple pie.

Nelson Brothers Rye:

If you know us, you know we like going against the grain. Nelson Brothers Straight Rye Whiskey is for those who like a little more spice in their spirits but still want smooth and soft sipping. With most ryes on the market touting a mash bill of 90-95% rye content, what makes ours different is the 30% corn. The elevated heat is there but with sweeter notes than traditional ryes.
